Guidelines In Creating Fig Balsamic Vinegar

There are people who have been using different condiments for the food they are eating. Usually, the condiment would serve as a secret ingredient that makes their food taste really good. There are different condiments that are available in the market. Some of it could be made at home as well.

As you read the article, you will have knowledge in making a particular condiment. This is called fig balsamic vinegar. You must first gather all ingredients you needed for this. It is easy to make this one because you just need one to two cups of figs which are fresh and quart of the aceto balsamico.

When you wanted it to have that sweet taste, you could also add a quarter of a cup of sugar. You could increase or lessen the amount of sugar that you would be adding to it. This step is optional and would just depend on you if it would be fit to your tastes. You may not place this as some of the fruit that you would buy would already have the sweetness that would be fit to the taste that you have.

After you have all of those things, you may now start with it. Prepare a large saucepan. Place all of those things in the pan and then bring it to a simmer. Stir it from time to time over low heat. Do that for about ten minutes so that it would be cooked. When ten minutes is up, cover the pan. Wait for about a few more minutes so that it would completely cool down before you start on the next one.

As it has a high amount, it is better that you would start working in batches of it. You would need a food processor for this one. If you do not have it, you may borrow one from your friends or neighbors. Make sure that you would ask them how it would be used. Pour the mixture into the processor. Pour an enough amount so that it would not overflow. You have to puree it until it would be smooth.

When you have done that, you have to prepare a fine sieve and a large bowl. You would need that in straining the puree. It is important that it would be strained to remove the solid mixtures left in it.

Line the sieve with cloth or filter and place this over the bowl. It is better for you to ask for help on this. You may have a hard time on pouring it. Pour that slowly and avoid pressing the solids in it. You have to cover that with a plastic wrap and allow it to be strained while in the refrigerator overnight.

Remove the puree from the bowl. Be certain that the solids left will be discarded. You could now pour this in any resealable bottle or a jar. You are now done making that one.

It could be refrigerated for a month. It could be used for different purposes especially in cooking. It will surely add to the flavor of the dishes you would be making.
