Once you have completed all of the planning then the you will need to next decide which shape you want it to be. You can have a BBQ pit which is ether square or rectangular.
The shape that you want to get will really depend on the individual preference and what will work best for you. You will have to dig at least eight inches into the ground and approximately fifty inches round the perimeter. Clear the space and measure and then level the surface off.
The next task which you will have to do is to spread the gravel until it is about two inches thick and cover it with one layer of mortar on top of the gravel so it extends to a few inches from the edge. Use the trowel to place the combined water and mortar in the pit.
Then smooth the area over whilst the mortar is still wet. Continue to this process till the pit has reached the height that you require at for using. Once you have built your pit and got everything set up you can then relax and make the most of your creation.
