When it comes to sweets that have their own unique appeal, a person can only live once. No thinking about diets or how a workout will fit in after straying from their normal eating habits. There are some desserts and snacks that are like that, and sour patch cherries are that simple treat that many cannot put down.

These are a combination of sweet, sour, and tangy in an intense berry flavor. While some may think of these as something for kids or teens, there are a lot of grownups ordering these by the dozens. Gummy candies are great for anyone watching their waistline or who need to monitor their health. In this instance, it is best to buy those brands not covered in sugar. Since most of these are already made with real fruit, too much of the white stuff can take away the natural taste.

Most people who like gummy candies say that sour is in a class of their own. These do not taste like the rare black cherry that is found at premium candy retailers. If a person likes to have their lips pucker after one taste, this is something worth trying. Some people say that the pucker effect kind of kills that annoying sweet craving that many people get from time to time.

Another great benefit to keeping these around is that they are easy to carry around. Unlike chocolate, these will not melt in the sun. Gummies are also great with other treats. Some parents like to create their own trail mix with healthy nuts, dried fruit pieces, and a few gummies for color. These recipes are great for long road trips, which is one of the times when kids can get cranky.

Small gummy candy bags are also great for teachers to give their students. These maintain their shape in different weather and the low sugar content is ideal for those who may have a weight issue. For kids that do not care to have fruit or protein as a snack, these are a nice alternative that does not cost a lot of money.

There are a wide variety of gummy candy flavors out there so the best measure for parents is to have kids try them all until they find one they like. Once kids find a flavor they like, they are also more likely to share with friends. Sometimes young people like to try new flavors of things just to say that they did it and others will follow based on their positive opinion.
