Steps In Making Cinnamon Toothpicks

If there is one thing that children enjoy doing more than to eat, that would be to play and create. Most of the kids are interested in trying out something new. It is no wonder then how the easy steps in making flavored toothpicks becomes a treat for them.

It has become popular over the years not only because of its wide usage. Cinnamon toothpicks also have their sort of therapeutic effects upon usage. Aside from its common function of removing food particles stuck on teeth, it has also been popular for giving you fresh breath.

Making one set is easy. All you need to do is to gather all the necessary materials and follow the simple steps. To start, you have to have a cinnamon oil, a clean plate or cutting board, a clean, empty jar, and a set of toothpicks.

Once completed, you are now ready to proceed. Begin by dropping two ounces of cinnamon oil in the vial or glass. Get your set of round toothpicks and put them inside the vial. Then, cover the container tightly.

Be mindful of the covering that you use in your jar. It has to be tight enough to prevent the oil from leaking out of the container. Once secured, store it overnight at someplace not directly exposed to sunlight or too much cold. The point of storing it this long is to be certain that the oil has seeped through the toothpicks carefully.

The point of leaving the materials overnight is for the toothpicks to completely absorb the oil. This means that the whole set should be bathed in the oil for you to experience its full benefit after. Also, it is important to note that the vial should be put at an area away from too much sunlight. The normal room temperature will be the ideal location where you have to place it.

After this, you may already get the toothpicks out of the container. Get a clean plate and spread the materials apart. You may use other alternatives than plate such as a clean cutting board. One thing you need to keep in mind is not to expose the set in direct sunlight. While it can potentially speed up the drying process, it is generally not recommended. Allow the materials to dry on its own pace at a neutral room temperature.

When dried, you can already give it a try. Get one or two and store the rest inside another vial. Cover it tight. This will prevent the scent of the cinnamon from leaking out. You can either put it atop your kitchen table for easier access when you use them or you may place it somewhere else away from too much heat.

So you see, the process is simple. You do not even need to cook and fire up something just to make it. The best part is, you get to enjoy its cooling benefits. Do not miss the chance.
