There are two types of goods that individuals typically consume everyday. These are organic foods Long Island and the non organic ones. However, most of these individuals would buy non organics due to their cheap prices. What they do not know is that it will be more beneficial for their health to eat the organic ones. The following points can encourage them to take these goods more.

These types of foods do not utilize pesticides to get rid of different pests. For this matter, the consumers can assure themselves that they will eat foods that are free from chemicals. Even though government agencies do not prohibit the use of pesticides, most environmentalists would say that these can affect human health in the long term.

Natural fertilizers are given by organic farmers to the plants. The natural fertilizers typically are manure and compost. The growth of the vegetables are not quickened by these fertilizers and so, their growth could take time. Commercial fertilizers filled with chemicals that could cause harm to humans are not bought and utilized by them.

It is normal for weeds to grow in farms. However, farmers should take them out since they will compete for the nutrients that the plants should receive. These people typically control the growth of these weeds through natural methods. They utilize crop rotation, weeding, mulching and tilling. They usually utilize their own hands or they operate certain machines.

Insects are typically feeding on the floras. The farm owner should be removing the insects for him to be having floras that he will be selling to the market. This owner is controlling the insects through natural means. They could be birds or traps. He is not utilizing insecticides for this venture since these commodities, along with pesticides, could be causing dangers to humans.

Numerous people are saying that these goods are have better tastes. These taste better as these are fresh produce where they are not containing preservatives. Non organics are typically filled with chemicals contributing to their different tastes. A consumer just needs to be washing the fresh produce with water thoroughly and he could be cooking them afterwards.

Aside from all of these, organic farming is good for the environment. These practices typically reduce air, water and soil pollution. They also increase soil fertility but reduce soil erosion. They also help conserve water and they use less energy. Since these farmers do not use chemicals, they do not put their lives and the lives of those nearby to health risks.

However, most individuals tend to buy non organics since they are cheaper than organic ones. These organics are expensive because the costs to maintain these farms are typically expensive, as well. They have to account for manual labor costs and other elements. These plants also take time to grow naturally unlike those that receive chemicals. Governments also will not grant subsidies to small plantations.
