For the desserts, theres the classic gelato, which is made by artisans, boasting of less butterfat and air and more natural flavors. There is also tiramisu, which is made from the highest quality coffee and mascarpone, which can be added with cream and egg whites. Of course, any list will not be complete with Italian style coffee, or espresso. Then caffe macchiato, ristretto, cappuccino, and many others worth mentioning. Your dining experience will also not be complete without a healthful glass of wine. Did we mention that Italy is the largest exporter and consumer of wine in the world.

All in all, you have the aperitif, antipasto, primo or first course, second or second course, the side dish, the cheese and fruits, the dolce, the coffee, and the liquor. It isnt so hard to see that for the Italians, food is an art and a ritual aside from a form of sustenance. What is more, you dont have to be in Italy itself to enjoy these epicurean treats.
