There has been a growing influence of Korean culture on America this past decade and many are curious about everything from this country, from music to clothes to food. For the latter, you may want to gauge where are the best authentic outlets for Korean food Charlotte NC out there. Do read on in this article to know how authentic or genuine the next food outlet you are going to visit will be.

It will be a good idea to have a physical list of those outlets you want to visit first. This is nothing more than just making a list of outlets that can be found on an internet search. Once you have this list then prepare to visit each of these outlets one by one and start your culinary investigation.

The first thing you are going to check out is to see if there are actual Koreans eating there as compared to other nationalities. The more Koreans that you do see at the place or establishment that you visit will probably mean that the taste is a lot closer to home and thus more authentic.

Make a subtle observation as to how fresh the ingredients that they are using for their dishes. This kind of food is well known for using the freshest of ingredients particularly vegetables, and most will even use home grown stuff. Do ask the owner of the place if they really use home made veggie, but do it in a circumspect and polite manner that is not so intrusive.

Look for kimchi on the menu, the one thing that this kind of cuisine cannot do without. Many outlets do make their own home made ones and is a matter of honor and pride for them. Ask the clients themselves how they would rate this particular dish and why and write this down on your notes. Clients will always give you accurate information on what they like and do not like.

Bulgogi is also another staple that you should look out for. It is a take on the barbecue with a Korean twist. It is basically grilled beef that is caramelized with seasoning and usually you can cook it yourself on stove top griddles at your table, should the restaurant you go to have these self use griddles.

It is also suggested that you look for bibimbap on the menu, which is a variation of the Japanese donburi rice bowl. It uses a lot more meat than its Japanese cousin and many will say it tastes a lot better to. Anyway you should be the judge alongside the other patrons that you meet.

And last but not least on what to look out for will be the mandu, which is a dumpling much akin to the Japanese gyoza, except that it can be fried or steamed according to taste. This is usually done as an appetizer and best served hot with a bowl of soya sauce for dipping.
